Sunflowers

Few flowers carry warmth the way a sunflower does. The bold yellow sits well against rust, cognac, and deep forest green. We use them in everything from casual hand-tied bouquets to structured holiday centrepieces.

Deep-Toned Roses

Roses in burgundy, toffee, and warm peach give an arrangement weight without shouting. They also hold well, which matters when flowers need to look good across a long weekend.

Chrysanthemums

Mums come in burnt orange, deep burgundy, golden yellow, and cream, and they hold their shape in water better than almost anything else here. They are also not sensitive to ethylene, according to UC Davis postharvest researchers. Unlike many blooms, that means they sit happily on a table beside a bowl of ripening fruit.

Dahlias

Dahlias bring jewel tones and structure: deep burgundy, burnt orange, dusty rose, amber. September and October are their peak, so this is the window where they arrive at their best. They are also the shortest-lived flower in the collection, at roughly six to nine days, which is worth knowing before you build a whole table around them.

Dahlias, chrysanthemums, sunflowers, marigolds, and asters are all at their freshest in autumn. In-season blooms travel less, arrive in better condition, and generally cost less than the same flower forced out of season. When to Order Thanksgiving Flowers

Canadian Thanksgiving falls on Monday, October 12 this year. Thanksgiving weekend is one of our busiest periods, so we ask for a few days' notice on custom centrepieces and larger table sets. Ready designs from this collection can still go out the same day if your order is placed by 10 AM.

One thing worth knowing before you order: Thanksgiving is one of five holidays where we cannot accept cancellations, alongside Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and Christmas. Order changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and we cannot guarantee changes on holiday weekends.

Four Centrepiece Styles Our Designers Build Most

• Harvest table runner: a long, low run of seasonal blooms down the centre of the table. It draws the eye without blocking sightlines.

• Rustic woodland: dried grasses, berry branches, and seasonal foliage anchored by bold sunflowers. Earthy and organic.

• Warm monochrome: orange, gold, and cognac tones together in one amber palette. Cohesive and quietly sophisticated.

• Modern minimalist: a single variety in a matte ceramic vessel. Clean and architectural, and a good gift for someone with particular taste.

Our Vaughan florist delivers Monday through Saturday. Order by 10:00 AM for same day delivery. Standard delivery runs between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and we cannot guarantee a specific arrival time.

To get the most from any of them, change the water every two to three days, trim the stems at an angle each time, and keep the arrangement out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents. Remove spent blooms as they go.
